Oddly enough, the decade could be defined by several genres. There was the emergence of rap, as well as grunge, alternative rock, and contemporary christian. So what would be your favorite?

For me it's alt rock all the way. Some of my fondest memories of the decade involve music. I remember listening to the radio and listening to so many good bands and songs. We had our Third Eye Blind, Barenaked Ladies, Goo Goo Dolls, Sister Hazel. Songs like No Rain by Blind Melon, Two Princes by Spin Doctors, Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry, and a host of others.

You could also add Boy bands. Though they did come in the late 90's they had a effect. As with Rap. For me my favorite is obviously grunge.

Yeah all those pretty good. But I was more into rap back in the 90's.
